Darth Vader and Yoda Team Up for Tom Tom

I have a good sense of humor and all, but a lot of videos circulating around the internet these days are nowhere near as funny as these two featuring Yoda and Darth Vader and their respective voices for the new Tom Tom commercials.

Darth Vader has some trouble with words ending in a hard T.

And Yoda has trouble being seen and with sentence construction.

Definite props must be given to these voice over actors for their amazing impersonations of these classic characters. (You get props too if you can tell me who they are in the comments).

Not only did they record these commercials, but they also recorded the whole track for the GPS itself which I cannot even begin to comprehend the amount of reading and takes that would… well… take.

These make me wish I had a Tom Tom, because I’m sure the voices are just as hilarious as these commercials.

I always enjoy a long, hard laugh at myself. This recent blooper of mine in the studio helps me to keep my head on straight. Everyone makes mistakes, some are just funnier than others.

Ad Revamp

Dan O’day, radio and voice over Guru is running a contest on his blog.

He posts an ad for Target that he says (and I completely agree) is completely awful, posts the general idea of the copy, and says rewrite and revoice it. So I did.
